On the range page, JennAir gives five codes one explanation: F1-A, F1-C, F9-1, F9-2 and F9-3. All concern the oven door lock, and wall ovens are not part of this group.

A note on terms

Other door entries from JennAir use the phrase “Door Switch”. This one uses “Door Lock Switch”. As general background, that switch is the contact that reports whether the lock is engaged.

Steps for owners

1. Switch the range off at the breaker for sixty seconds.
2. Switch the power back on.
3. Give the range a minute and see if the code comes again.
4. Run the oven and check that it works.

No waiting period comes before the reset; the first instruction is to take the power away for a minute.

Results

A clean display with a working oven means JennAir expects nothing more. If any of the five codes returns, the latch, the lock switch and the wiring are all still possible, and the source offers no further steps. That means service.
