F06 tells you JennAir suspects the electronic control or its wiring. A short breaker reset is the only listed owner step.
Model compatibility: JennAir reuses codes across series and model years, so F06 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
F06 flags a possible fault in the Electronic Control or its wiring.
JennAir gives F06 one line: the Electronic Control, or the wiring belonging to it, may have a problem. No other part is named.
Owner steps
Find the breaker feeding the range or wall oven and turn it off.
Let a full minute pass, then turn it on.
Keep the display in view for one more minute.
Make sure the heating and the controls behave normally.
Limits of what you can do
JennAir lists no owner repair for the control or the wiring. A code that comes back is for a technician. On the call, state the code and say that turning the breaker off and on did not clear it.
Reading the reset
The page cannot name a failed part, so powering the oven down and up is the one check you have. It takes about a minute and shows whether the code was a single event or returns right away.
F06 beside F03 and F04
One word separates them. F03 and F04 speak of the Electronic Oven Control, while F06 says Electronic Control. JennAir gives no explanation, and the owner steps are the same, so the difference should not be over-read.
Important safety warning. Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
