JennAir’s page for FCRF narrows the problem to the front right burner position: the right front Hotplate, meaning its cooking surface, burner or element, or the wiring connected to it. It does not mention the other zones. As a pointer the code cannot tell you whether the hotplate or the wiring is at fault, and the source states no cause.

The listed procedure

1. Turn off the breaker(s) that supply the cooktop.
2. Let a whole minute pass.
3. Turn the breaker(s) on again.
4. Spend one minute observing, to learn whether FCRF is displayed a second time.
5. Finish by confirming the cooktop operates.

Should the code recur

• Arrange a technician visit.
• Leave the glass or metal top where it is and stay away from the connections, because heating parts and their wiring are for trained people.
• Take note of whether the front right zone still gets warm; the JennAir text is silent about it.

Neighbouring zone codes

• FCLF / FCLR use the same sort of message about the left front hotplate.
• FCRR is the right rear hotplate entry.
• F2 reports a cooking area that is too hot, which is a different problem.
