FCE7 on a JennAir oven or range: the connection to your router did not happen. Power and router resets are the listed remedies.
Model compatibility: JennAir reuses codes across series and model years, so FCE7 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
JennAir defines FCE7 as the appliance failing to connect to the router.
When a JennAir range or wall oven displays FCE7, the appliance did not connect to the router. The help pages add that the Wi-Fi module has no link to the internet.
Where FCE7 fits
FCE1 to FCE3 list many possible causes, among them the module and its wiring. FCE7 is narrower and concerns only the connection. A problem in the home network is therefore the first thing to rule out, and the two resets below are the way to do that.
Step one: cycle the power
Switch the appliance’s breaker off for one minute.
Switch it on again.
Start a cycle and monitor the appliance for one minute, making sure the code does not show again.
Verify the appliance operates.
Step two: restart the router
With the Wi-Fi module lacking an internet link, JennAir includes a router reset in the article as well. In the version for the Over-the-Range Microwave there is more detail:
Power the router down for 2 minutes.
Power the appliance down for 2 minutes.
For a weak signal, move the router, add a compatible extender, or contact your internet provider.
Still failing
An FCE7 that remains after both resets, while other Wi-Fi devices in the house run normally, points to the appliance and needs a technician. JennAir lists nothing more for owners to try.
Nearby codes
FCE1 gives the signal strength and connection message.
FCE8 is a registration error from setting up the connected features.
